These apply to all WEDDING & EDUCATION bookings with CROWN + MUSE

BOOKING PROCESS

 

Booking enquiries can be made via the booking form, telephone or email.

CROWN + MUSE will supply you with a quote and confirm availability.

Confirmation of booking details will confirm your provisional booking and your agreements in accordance with all these terms and conditions.

​

CROWN + MUSE will provide a booking summary and confirm receipt of the deposit. It is the client's responsibility to check the booking summary and ensure that Laura is notified of any errors within 7 days of receipt. If the client notifies us of an error after this period, and Laura is unable to fulfil the booking, cancellation fees may apply.

 

Please note, the booking is not secure until your booking fee has been received in full and CROWN + MUSE has confirmed receipt in writing. We reserve the right to rebook or cancel your date if fees are not paid on time.

 

WEDDING MAKEUP BOOKINGS

SECURE YOUR BOOKING:

Clients will be required to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE £50 wedding day booking fee which will be deducted from the final wedding day balance. This holds your trial and wedding date in the diary until 3 days after your trial takes place.

 

AFTER YOUR TRIAL:

50% of your final balance is due to confirm your booking within 3 days.

PAYMENT:

The outstanding wedding balance is due no later than 4 weeks prior to the wedding day.

​

Dates cannot be confirmed until the booking fee is received, If the wedding day is within 4 weeks of booking, the full amount will be required to secure the date

 

YOUR WEDDING TRIAL:

​

The trial must be paid in full on the day in cash at the start of the trial or via bank transfer 7 days before.

 

Trials are preferably not booked in the evenings due to the lack of natural light.

​

A maximum of 3 trials per bridal party can take place in 1 day.

 

We ask that you have no more than 1 person attending your trial with you to allow maximum time to get to know you and your style. 

​

Please note if you require a second trial you will need to pay the full trial amount again. 

 

The trial and travel costs are completely non-refundable.

 

CHANGES:
Notification should be given of any changes to the booking and trial as soon as possible. This includes changes to the number of clients, location, dates and times. It is the client’s responsibility to do this as we cannot guarantee availability all day.

 

Changes must be confirmed in writing via email and are not accepted as written notice until you have received a reply from Laura Shepherd. Please do not rely on texts as we do not always receive them.

• CHANGE OF TRIAL DATE - An alternative date will be found. 

• CHANGES TO TRIAL NUMBERS - Any changes made by the bride to a trial must be made in writing 48 hours before the date of the trial. If changes result in the number attending being reduced, we have the right to change the time or date of the trial.

• CHANGE OF WEDDING DATE - We will do our best to book the new date or supply another available artist. If this is not possible then the usual cancellation fees apply.

• CHANGE TO WEDDING DAY NUMBERS - A new price will be calculated based on our current price list to reflect any changes in the bridal party. Please note bookings must meet the minimum booking numbers. 

• CHANGE OF LOCATION - We may need to add a travel charge if the location changes. If the location changes dramatically we reserve the right to cancel the booking.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the artist, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however, no compensation will be offered on the artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover such situations.

​

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:

If preparation is split between 2 locations, a pack down/re-set up fee of £35 will be charged. 

​

If any early start before 6am for Laura there may be a subcharge or overnight accommodation costs

​

The client will cover all necessary travel expenses, including, but not limited to, all public transport costs, any congestion charges and parking charges that are applicable.

​

Full public transport, parking and congestion costs must be covered and will be added to the final invoice.

​

The first 10 miles from each artist's location is free.

10 - 30 miles         £30

30 -60 miles          £60

60 -100 miles        £90

100 miles+            POA

 

ASSISTANTS:

If your booking requires the help of an extra assistant there will be an additional charge per each assistant.

​

MINIMUM BOOKING:

I have a minimum booking of 3 adult clients for all wedding bookings.

 

Single bridal bookings will have a £100 sub charge. 

​

CANCELLATION & FEES:
Please note that all changes or cancellations MUST be stated in writing.

​

Your reservation/booking fee and deposits are non-refundable.

 

Cancellations for services booked where travel and/or accommodation expenses have been paid for by the company and are non-refundable by the provider will need full payment by the client.

​

If for any reason you must cancel your booking, you need to do this in writing 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. If notice is given after this, the full outstanding amount is due.

​

ALL PAYMENTS:

All payment is required by BACS bank transfer or cash. 

 

CROWN + MUSE CANCELLATIONS: 

​In exceptional circumstances, such as a hospital stay, CROWN + MUSE may need to cancel a booking. This has never happened before but, if it does all attempts will be made to find an alternative artist. If this is not possible or is unacceptable to the client, CROWN + MUSE will refund 100% of the deposit/payment.

​

We reserve the right to cancel any booking that has been made under false pretences without liability and retain all payments made by you. 

​​

ALLERGIES:

The client must inform Laura Shepherd of any allergies or product sensitivities they may have before the trial takes place. This also includes but is not limited to, medical conditions or any issues that may affect the use of equipment and products. 

​

OTHER: 
The client agrees that the artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the artist’s website and social media pages.

 

Following the new smoking regulations - smoking whilst an artist is working is not permitted.

Artists reserve the right to refuse to work if a client is rude, aggressive, upsetting or abusive in any way. In this situation, the booking will be cancelled, and the trial fee will be retained.

EDUCATION  BOOKINGS

To secure your Bridal Masterclass with Laura Shepherd, a £50 non-refundable booking fee is required

 

PAYMENT:

The outstanding balance is due 30 days before day one of the course.

​

ALL PAYMENTS:

All payment is required by BACS bank transfer or cash. 

​

CANCELLATION & FEES:
Please note that all changes or cancellations MUST be stated in writing.

​

Your lesson/course booking fee is non-refundable.

​

Bridal Masterclass's balances can be transferred once to another date- they are non-refundable.
